The source of information for all things Rust Treatment and Rust Conversion.
If you meant “blog,” it refers to a website or web page regularly updated with content, often written in an informal or conversational style, and typically run by an individual or small group. Well, you’re stuck with me and occasionally Ian (or Dad). So who am I? I’m Chris, born in 1980, a product of the Max Power generation of Hot Hatches. I currently drive a Ford truck and have only ever worked in the coatings industry.
My career began at a local paint and decorating shop in Peterborough called PDS. I then worked for Jotun Paints Europe, spent several years at Brewers, and eventually moved to PPG. In 2017, after discussing with my family, I decided to take on and continue running the family business, Rustbuster. I’ve always been involved with car shows since the company’s formation in the ’90s, and my products and technical knowledge align well with our mission.
I have trained up to Level 2 as an ICorr Paint Inspector. An ICorr Paint Inspector is a professional certified by the Institute of Corrosion (ICorr) to inspect and assess protective coatings, primarily paint, used to prevent corrosion on various structures and surfaces. These inspectors ensure that coatings are applied correctly and meet the specified standards and requirements to protect materials from corrosion, which can lead to structural failure and other issues.
I’m sure you’ll agree that my training and extensive history in the coatings industry make writing this blog a natural fit for me.
